Accident in Greece?
If you’ve been injured as a result of an accident in Greece that
was someone else’s fault, we can give you advice and information
regarding
compensation
claims. If a close family member or friend was killed in
an accident that is not considered to be one hundred percent the fault of the deceased we
can assist in determining whether compensation is due to close family
members.
Did you get Compensation?
Compensation amounts vary from claim to claim depending on many
different factors, even for similar injuries. That’s because injuries
affect people in different ways and each person’s individual
circumstances are taken into account when awarding compensation. This
becomes evident if you view the examples shown on this site. Common
compensation claims include whiplash, road accident and
medical
negligence claims with compensation, in the main, being sort
for pain and suffering, permanent disability, medical expenses, loss of
earnings, loss of or damage to property, loss of interest and legal
expenses.
Most
compensation claims are made for accidents resulting from negligence.
Certain people, such as drivers, Governments
and councils have responsibilities and standards to which they must
abide. If they don’t take reasonable care when they should have done
and you are injured as a result then you may have a case for
compensation.
Make your Claim
To make your claim, all it takes is a phone call. We can even call you -
just fill in our simple on line
claim form and we’ll phone you back. We can then talk
about your claim, your circumstances and how you have been affected.
This can then be passed on to a specialist lawyer, selected taking into
consideration your situation and the nature of the incident. Once you
are in direct contact with your chosen
lawyer, he/she will be able to give you a clearer idea of what
you might get if you succeed with your compensation claim.

Through
the 4th EU Motor Directive 2003, it has become possible for many people
to claim
compensation through the their home EU country courts.
This is a statement of fact which
numerous UK and other European lawyers advertise and promote. They
proclaim it is, of course, easier to be in contact with "home grown
lawyers" on such an issue. What is not mentioned are the extra costs,
longer settlement periods, difficulty with local knowledge and legal
procedures and
communication complications. GACC are often involved in such cases and
can safely say that, despite the 2003 Directive which has benefits,
direct contact with a local Greek lawyer permits quicker and more
effective settlements. In addition all lawyers suggested by GACC and our administrative
staff are able to communicate clearly and concisely in English, French
and Greek. GACC also offers translation services in numerous other
languages. Compensation claims are complex and legal systems and
structures within Greece vary considerably with those of other EU member
countries. It is therefore critical to have direct access to lawyers
here in Greece who understand these systems, have worked within them and
the structures and are able to extract compensation from insurers and
government bodies far more effectively than lawyers from another member
EU country.
We urge anyone who has suffered an
accident or whose family member has been killed here in Greece, to
contact GACC. Simply complete our on line
claim form
